Cell Phone charger cant take your life

I recently circulated an email in reply to another email which said "Cell Phone charger can take your life" if you are talking while charging the phone.

The possibility of dying with a charger plugged in is 1 in 1,00,000 or 10 lacs. If you really put your brains in reading and getting worried then please put some time in analysing how can get you a shock.

The output from the Charger of a cell phone is in single digit volts. The adapter receiver 240 V of current from the switch board and passes on just 3-5 V of current to the cell phone to charge(Check output on your Charger). Even if you directly touch the pin of the cell phone you will not get any sensation of current as that much can be easily absorbed by our body.

The only possibility is the defective adapter which directly gets the power to the pin from the switchboard. Mostly in case of mis-wiring. Even in that case, the wire would burn immediately as it cant carry tht much capacity of power and even if it does'nt burn, you will never never never fall with a Thud and DIE!!!!

So dont worry. You can't lose your life so easily.

Thank You for reading.

Its a 3G Video Calling Camera

I I have seen a lot of people having this misconception about their handsets. Almost everybody whom I have come across. The one feature they like about their handsets is it has "dual camera". 1 in front and one on the back. Wow.. Front one it seems is a self potrait cam, but does'nt work in India!!... wat the hell!!

Actually the Camera in the front is for Video Calling. Video Calling on such handsets is enabled by 3G. 3G enables faster data access or internet access. 3G is about 7 times faster than the traditional GPRS we are used too and video calling requires such high speed. Remember the good old non broadband days, and we use to try web cam on yahoo messenger?? I use to get really irritated by the refresh rate, and I personally dont wanna see that on mobiles.

3G has not yet arrived in India. Defence Ministry of India was so far using the spectrum required for expansion of 3G, for the defence purposes. It was suppose to be vacated last yr. end. But dude its India!!. Well the good news is spectrum would be vacated by November end, and then the allocation of spectrum to different telcos will start, who should then immediately be able to provide the service as, as per the news they have tried and tested this technology for last 1 yr. Atleast Airtel has... Expect it by Mid 2008.

So next time when you go to purchase your new handset, and the vendor tries to sell you by saying the handset has dual cam, slap him on his face and teach him something. Its a "3G Video Calling Camera"
